If you live a life of practical, it’s nice to have an interruption of beautiful every once in a while.  
     As the oldest of 7 kids, I live in a house that is far more practical than pretty.  You need to sneak in ‘pretty’ where you can!  My passion isn’t just making things beautiful though- it’s making things beautiful by hand.  My workload at 14 still allows time for my favorite hand crafting hobbies: crocheting, making jewelry, cake decorating, and sewing.
     Who knew a hook and a pile of thread could turn into something lovely?  I taught myself to crochet and love to experiment with different patterns and stitches until I’ve created something different and uniquely my own.
     I love making a pile of beads and charms come to life.  My mom taught me to keep clothes ‘classic’ and add style with your accessories.  You can tell a lot about a woman when you look at her jewelry.
     I love to bake, but you eat with your eyes as much as your mouth.  All of my cake creations are from scratch with only natural ingredients. While I may not be able to use electric blue food coloring, I’ve learned that sometimes boundaries force me to be more creative!
     My sewing skills started out of necessity, but with a little bit of extra time and a very large scrap pile, I found that I loved making beautiful things to wear as well!
